Health and Safety Policy

This policy applies to Therma-Q Limited and all of its locations.

We are committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for all employees and to integrating that commitment into our everyday activities. The following health and safety policy shall help us fulfill our commitment.

We are responsible for the health and safety of our employees whilst at work and shall make every effort to provide a healthy and safe working environment and are committed to the prevention of injury, ill health and continual improvement of occupational health and safety management and performance.

Managers and supervisors shall be trained and held responsible for ensuring that:

  • The employees under their supervision follow this policy
  • Employees use safe working practices and receive adequate training to protect their health and safety
  • The equipment and facilities are safe

Through all levels of management, we shall co-operate with the nominated health and safety representative(s) and employees to create a healthy and safe working environment. Co-operation shall also be extended to other interested parties such as contractors and visitors etc.

Our employees shall support this health and safety policy and shall co-operate with the nominated health and safety representative(s) and others exercising authority under the applicable legal and other requirements.

It is the duty of each employee to report to their supervisor or manager, as soon as possible, any hazardous conditions, injury, accident, or illness related to the workplace. Also, employees must protect their own health and safety by complying with applicable legal and other requirements, by following policies, procedures, rules and instructions as prescribed by the organisation.

We shall, where possible, eliminate hazards and the need for personal protective equipment. If that is not possible, and where there is a need, employees must use personal protective clothing, equipment, devices, and materials.

We recognise the employees’ duty to identify hazards and support and encourage employees to play an active role in identifying hazards and to offer suggestions or ideas to improve occupational health and safety.

This policy is reviewed for continuing suitability by the nominated health and safety representative(s), employees, and during the regular Management Review meetings.
